Dance Wear
Ages 3 to 6 (All Classes):        

Female Students
Pink leotard with white or pink tights.  Ballet Slippers for Ballet, Jazz Shoes for Jazz, and Tap
Shoes for Tap.  Hair should be secured away from the face.

Male students:        
Black tights and a solid white t-shirt or black sweat pants (Cut below the knee) and a solid white
t-shirt.

Shoes:
Follow the listings below for each class type.


All Other Ages –

Ballet, Lyrical, and Modern         
Black leotard and  black, white, nude, or pink tights for females.   These should be solid and
should not have any prints or other colors.  Hair should be pulled back into a bun.  Ballet skirts
and cover-ups in subdued colors may be worn, but cover-ups should be removed once the
class is warmed-up.

Shoes:  Pink or white split-soled ballet slippers (Black for male students), canvas or leather.

Jazz, Tap, and Hip-Hop         
Same attire as ballet class.  Jazz, Capri, or black sweat pants (Cut below the knee),
or plain black cotton or lycra shorts may be worn in place of skirt.  There should be NO writing or
slogan on pants or leotard unless it is Dance Works approved Logo-Wear.  Hair should be
secured away from the face.

Shoes: (Jazz)  Black jazz shoes.  Most students prefer a split-soled shoe, such as “Bloch’s” or
“Capezio”.

Shoes: (Tap)  Black tap shoes with “Tele-Tone” taps.  Advanced tap students should wear a
“Capezio” lace up black leather shoe with “Tele-Tone” taps.

Shoes: (Hip-Hop)  Black split-soled Jazz Sneakers. (Any comfortable tennis shoes are allowed)
